Onshoring your plastic mold making means keeping production and jobs close to home, but it also has other benefits for American businesses. Not least of these are access and accountability. If you’re in the planning stages of your next plastic injection-molded product, and especially if you’re a startup learning the basics of mold making, there are some very good reasons to consider Rex Plastics.

Full Lifecycle Manufacturing

From conception to completion, Rex Plastics covers every step in the mold-making process. That makes us an excellent fit for businesses of any size. While we’re proud of our large accounts, we’re equally proud of the fact that startups have leveraged our services for success thanks to our low setup fees and the flexibility to handle short runs.

The Rex Plastics Process

Because plastic injection mold making isn’t quite as simple as we make it seem, Rex Plastics offers a free design evaluation that can be used to find flaws and potential issues with your initial CAD design or 3D-printed prototype. We also offer prototyping and design for manufacturing (DFM) assistance for businesses that need it.

Once your design has cleared the initial stages, we can help with third-party financial assistance, then follow through to tooling your injection mold (which comes with a lifetime guarantee), followed by production, pad printing, and assembly. We can also handle packaging and some aspects of distribution in-house.

Why Work With Rex Plastics?

In addition to our comprehensive approach to mold making, there are a number of other benefits to working with Rex Plastics. Our five decades’ worth of experience matter. However, we would also point out that we’re not still doing things the way we did them fifty years ago (in contrast to some of our offshore competitors). We use updated technology, including:

  • Solidworks 3D CAD Software
  • Mastercam CAD/CAM Software
  • Fadal VMC 3016 CNC mill
  • Chmer 50 MP Sinker EDM
  • Acer EVS-3VKH programmable E-Mill with Anilam control

The quality of our work also lets us back it with a guarantee on the many parts of your injection mold, including runners, cavities, cores, water channels, ejection, and parting line surfaces. Because we go the extra mile with our work, you’ll have a product you’ll be proud to put your name on. And that’s not all you can put on it; you may also opt for a free “Made in USA” logo in one of two sizes, provided there’s a sufficient flat surface on which to place it.

Getting Started

Injection molding comes with many questions. Some of these are covered in our injection molding FAQ, but you’re likely to have other concerns that may not be covered there. With that in mind, we invite you to contact Rex Plastics directly. While we’re located in Vancouver, WA and are well known in the Pacific Northwest, we’re proud to serve clients nationwide. A quick email or phone call will put you in touch with a project manager who can evaluate your needs and how we can help your business.
