We at Rex Plastics pride ourselves in offering you quality American made injection molds. We will not outsource your molds overseas like so many toolmakers do today. They will be made right here in our facility, by our small staff with over 40 years of combined experience, or outsourced if necessary to local toolmakers where we can keep close controls on the process. Know the True Costs of Your Molds Our in-house tool room, we believe, is one of the most important factors that sets us apart from many others. Having a tool room in the same facility has several advantages:
Your mold will be designed and built by true craftsmen using CAD/CAM software, and CNC and EDM equipment. Our extreme attention to detail ensures that the plastic injection molds and our custom injection molding will meet or exceed your requirements. Mold Guarantee*Every mold that we build and run includes lifetime preventive maintenance and comes with our guarantee* which includes cavity and core surfaces, as well as normal wear. Our guarantee is based on universal injection mold build standards: Class 101 mold – Built for extremely high production, and made with only the highest quality materials. Guaranteed for 500,000 cycles. Class 102 mold – Built for medium to high production. Good for abrasive material such as glass or mineral filled polymers, or for parts that require tight tolerances. Guaranteed for 200,000 cycles. Class 103 mold – This is a popular mold built for low to medium production, and has the most common price range. Guaranteed for 100,000 cycles. Class 104 mold – This is a low production mold, and is used for a short product life with non-abrasive materials. Guaranteed for 5,000 cycles. *Guarantees do not include moving components such as slides or core pulls. Typically we use P20 or H13 hardened tool steel in the construction of our customer tooling. Occasionally, if a product has low anticipated quantities, or a customer requests it, we will use other materials. Our injection mold quotes are very competitive, and our lead times are usually relatively short when compared to other toolmakers. We know that you can only get superior parts from superior tooling.
